Day 1: ARRIVAL; Join La Bréole village.
Perched on the riverbank of the Serre Ponçon lake, "La Bréole" is a typical mountain village with genuine local life. The location offers easy access to both Provence (South) and Alps high mountains with glaciers (North).
This tour is based in a Holiday Centre which offers very good services for families. During your stay you can enjoy different activities each day.

Day 2: EXPLORE the village at your own pace.
From the Holiday centre, you can enjoy a nice self guided walk that will lead you to the lake shore. Then, back to the village, you can relax under the Provence Alps sunshine (300 days a year!) or enjoy the swimming pool.
Welcome drinks at 11am (French "apéritif") to meet with the other centre guests and, in the afternoon, a guided walk is possible.

Day 3: PROVENCE VISIT or MOUNTAIN BIKING/HORSE RIDING.
Today, you can choose one of the two activities:
1- explore the area further South driving to Forcalquier: in the morning visit the typical Provençal market of this "Haute Provence" town. Visit "Salagon" museum & gardens where, within a medieval monastery, the main exhibition will explain everything about lavender and aromatic plants (Audio guide in English).
2- for half a day and depending on your children's ages: either go mountain biking and have a lot of fun going down mountain tracks; or go pony/horse/donkey riding or enjoy a walk with a donkey.

Day 4: HOLIDAY CENTRE'S ACTIVITIES.
Today, you can take part in the guided activities offered at the centre (by age group; can vary between rock climbing, archery, guided walk, kayak, boat trip, games...) or if you prefer, use the other facilities: tennis, table tennis, trampoline, swimming pool.
If you prefer to have family time, why not try a self guided forest walk from a nearby genuine village and then stop by the lake at a lifeguard protected beach.

Day 5: GLACIER TRIP or BARCELONNETTE VISIT
For a special day, try one of the two following great visits:
- road trip to "La Grave" village located at the feet of "La Meije" summit (3983m high). While driving, enjoy majestic views over the Ecrins National Park mountains. Then a cable car will bring you to an altitude of 3200m to enjoy the view over the glacier!
- visit Barcelonnette town and its lively market. In the afternoon, try guided white water rambling (great fun) or visit a mountain animal park.

Day 6: HOLIDAY CENTRE'S ACTIVITIES.
Today, you can take part in the guided activities offered at the centre (by age group; can vary between rock climbing, archery, guided walk, kayak, boat trip, games...) or if you prefer, use the other facilities: tennis, table tennis, trampoline, swimming pool.
If you prefer to have family time, try a self guided walk, "Morgonnet" summit, between the Durance and Ubaye valleys, which offers great views over the lake.

Day 7: HOLIDAY CENTRE'S ACTIVITIES.
Today, you can take part in the guided activities offered at the centre (by age group; can vary between rock climbing, archery, guided walk, kayak, boat trip, games...) or if you prefer, use the other facilities:
- tennis, table tennis, trampoline;
- swimming pool.

Day 8: FAREWELL or EXTEND YOUR TRIP?.
Meeting with France Outdoors rep in the morning.
Spend the morning at your own pace in "La Bréole" before transferring to the airport.
Why not extend your trip for one more week? Plenty of activities, more time to relax or discover further the region and the people.
