Day 1: ARRIVAL- GUIDED WALK; Arrive in Thorame.
This trip is offered in conjunction with the "Office National des Forêts" (ONF). The ONF manages the national forest and has supported the walking trips since 1998. France Outdoors is the sole agent for this trip and is responsible for transferring your luggage. The chalets are located in the mountains and are all self-sufficient with running water and electricity.
The first excursion is an afternoon walk to the restored village of "Peyresq".
Ascent: 500 m (3 hrs).

Enjoy your picnic lunch!

Day 2: GUIDED WALK; Peyresq – Congerman
Today we will acquaint ourselves with the mountain flora whilst walking to the "Courradour" mountain (2157m). If we are lucky we might bump into a local shephard and learn the secrets to his trade. The "Chalet Congerman" was built in the 19th Century and used by the ONF to support tree planting initiatives in the area.
Ascent: 550m (6 hr).
