Day 1: ARRIVAL
Collection from Nice airport to "Saint Dalmas de Tende", located in the Roya Valley. Here, the architecture and food is strongly influenced by our neighbouring country, Italy. Accommodation is the hotel "Le Prieuré", a charming place with fine quality food.

Day 2: GUIDED WALK; GRANILE VILLAGE
Starting off at Saint Dalmas, we will climb up the shadowing mountain and arrival at "Granile", a village complete with old stone cottages. There is an option for more experienced climbers to carry on to the "Cime de la Nauque", which adds 4km to the trip.

Day 3: GUIDED WALK; MERCANTOUR NATIONAL PARK- Bronze age carvings
"Mont Bego" was a sacred site to prehistoric people and it is now protected by "Mercantour National park". The mountain's red stone is engraved with spectacular bronze age drawings and symbols. The walks today are to "Lac Vert" and for the more experienced climber, to "La Baisse de Fontanalbas".

Day 4: FREE DAY; CUNEO MARKET or VISIT TO MONACO
Explore the "Roya Valley" more extensively and go to "Cuneo" or "Monaco", a short train journey away. On Tuesdays in the Italian "Cuneo", it is market day and the atmosphere is electric. In Monaco take a visit to the luxurious exotic gardens.

Day 5: GUIDED WALK; around Tende village
From Saint Dalmas, walk to the medieval village of Tende through the enchanted chestnut forest, and wander on to the open plains on the east side of the valley. For a challenging climb, go as far as the the "Col de Boselia".

Day 6: GUIDED WALK; Mercantour National Park
A second day in the National park will allow your guides to share more information about its protected species. You might even spot some Gypaetus Barbatus or wolf tracks while walking to the "Baisse de Valauretta". For more experienced climbers, journey to the "Cime du Diable"

Day 7: GUIDED WALK; La Brigue.
Walk to the village of "La Brigue" and visit the Chapel "Notre Dame des Fontaines", nicknamed the "Sistine Chapel of the Roya Valley". For a more physically challenging option, you can walk up to the "Baisse de Peluna".

Day 8: FAREWELL!
Take the transfer to Nice airport. Bon Voyage.
