"Gite les Baladins", Ceillac

Day 1:  ARRIVAL
Take a transfer from "Turin", "Grenoble" or "Cuneo" airport to "Ceillac", a charming Alpine village with an abundance of life and ambiance. In the evening enjoy the tradition of "après ski" in one of the many local bars. The family run "Gite les Baldins", offers lovely home comforts and fine cuisine.

Day 2: GUIDED SNOWSHOEING; Cristillan valley
Today we will snowshoe our way to the "Cristillan Valley", where you will come across old Alpine shepherd huts which have only been uninhabited for 100 years. The itinerary is flexible, and the length of the walk can be customised to the group.
Ascent: 450m     Descent: 450m     Distance: 12km

Day 3: GUIDED SNOWSHOEING; Tronchet pass 2661 m
Today we will explore the undiscovered "Chaurionde Valley", located near the "Ceillac Ski resort". As the walk is North facing, the snow is generally perfect for snowshoeing. Furthermore, the mountain goat the "Chamois" also resides in this area, so if we are lucky we might snow shoe past some.
Ascent: 970m     Descent: 970m     Distance: 12km

 

Around Ceillac

Day 4: GUIDED SNOWSHOEING; bramousse pass 2251 m
Today we will walk up the south face of the "Col de Bramousse" where you will see the beautiful view of the village below. Depending on the group, we will walk up to the "Brunet Peak" which adds 227m to the total hike.

Day 5: FREE DAY; or enjoy a trip to Saint veran
Today you are free to explore the area of Ceillac at your own leisure. Take a trip to "Saint Véran" the highest village in Europe, or stay in Ceillac and enjoy the quaint little village. Our local guides are available if you would like to continue snowshoeing.
Optional: Downhill skiing or cross country skiing in Ceillac.

Day 6: MULTI ACTIVITY; Pick one of the following activities below:

  • Self guided downhill skiing: The Ceillac domain is a resort suitable for skiers of all levels.
  • Guided Snowshoeing: Through the Estronques pass. A more challenging walk is available up to the “tête de Jacquette”, which adds 100 m ascent to the walk. Ascent: 1015m     Descent: 1015m     Distance:5,5km.
  • Self guided cross country skiing: With 35km of pistes, Ceillac offers more than enough for the adventure seekers. Optional: Take downhill or cross country ski lessons with ESF (French Ski School).

Day 7: MULTI ACTIVITY; Pick one of the following activities below:

  • Self guided downhill skiing: at Ceillac area.
  • Guided Snowshoeing: To the Lake “Miroir” area and its amazing landscapes covered by virgin snow. Added challenge of walking to the “Girardin pass”, an extra 300m ascent. Ascent: 530m     Descent: 530m     Distance:5km
  • Self guided cross country skiing: in Ceillac. Optional: Take downhill or cross country ski lessons with ESF (French Ski School).

Day 8 - Farewell!
Take your transfers to Turin, Grenoble or Cuneo aiport. Bon Voyage!
